In Life
I mean really, yesterday I felt horrible, I went to work (because I’m stubborn like that) and went home 2 hours into my shift. Then I took a 3 1/2 hour nap…wow, that is very unusual for me. After a doctors appt (sinus infection) and a z-pack as well as some Musinex D I feel much better today.
How often in life do we need to just sit back and re-evaluate the situation later. Maybe 5 min/1 hour/1 day later things will look totally different. Or maybe they will look exactly the same but you will have had time to think and process and in my case calm down and realize that the world is not going to end.
Stop, pray, take a breath and re-evaluate it can make all the difference in the world.

“We are different and that’s OK”
There are advantages and disadvantages to getting married at any age. When my Hubby and I got married we were both older we had been on our own for a while and we had our own ways of doing things. I’m a planner and depending on my stress/exhaustion level I don’t deal with change well (although some days I do just fine.) Hubby is more spur of the moment or nah I don’t feel like it type of guy (if something is planned already.) To be honest this drives me nuts, however I’m very aware that ‘my way’ is not necessarily the right way. I need to learn that not every moment needs to be planned and that if things don’t happen I most likely won’t die. This is something I can learn from my hubby.
There are many other differences between the hubby and I, I’m trying to view them as learning opportunity’s for both of us. I’m sure we will discover many more differences along the way, but that is OK. I love him, and I’ll learn from him, and maybe even he will learn from me

I added pictures!
Now this is not the change everything to a green product kind of make-over this is how can being green also help us be economical so here it is.
~We ripped of the wall paper with a steamer not chemicals (cheaper and faster in my opinion some people have luck with the sprays but not me.)

~Painted the walls with low VCO paint and left the paint color on the bottom that was already there (used less paint which is cheaper and better for the environment)
~Ripped up the old carpet and refinished some wood floors. (There are chemicals in the stain and poly but there would have been manufacturing footprints with buying bamboo floor and this was cheaper)
~Instead of buying a whole new ceiling fan (ours had wicker on the blades and yucky gold bubbly light covers) I just cleaned it up flipped the blades (the other side was solid wood veneer) and bought new globes. It only cost $28.00!
(Old)

(New)

~We did buy a closet system (fail I know but the closets were TINY !!) They were not green…
~Instead of buying a new nightstand so we could have one on both sides of the bed I found a large freestanding jewelry box (which I’ve been looking for anyway) at a garage sale (reused and cheap!)
Woo Hoo!

I love to scrapbook!
I like the memories, the creative outlet and everything else involved. I’ve recently even become a Creative Memories consultant to make this hobby a little more affordable…lol. I’m about 2 years behind in my scrapbooking and need some major catch up time and that started on Saturday. Its amazing out therapeutic it can be.
My ‘new’ (through Ryan) cousins came over and we started her on her first ever album. She really enjoyed it and I got a few pages done myself. I can’t wait to get my office all set up so I can really start working on it.
So I have found ways to make it a little more green (and save some green as well.) Here are a few hints to green up your scrapbooking:
1) Don’t use a full 12×12 paper as a background of every page if you use a traditional type album.
2) When cutting a matt for a photo cut out the middle to use later (you wont see it behind the picture anyway.)
3) Photo tape is strong so limit how much you use.
4)Buy refills instead of whole new tape runners.
5) Review your photos before printing so that you only print what you need for the layout
That’s all I can think of for now do any of you scrapbooker out there have any other ideas?
