In MAC, Thoughts on Thursdays
OK I’ve come to the conclusion that I need to do this again next month I’ve not seen my husband nearly enough this month to really do any good see below for further proof:
Sept 23rd-Again Mac tolerated the girls being over and a makeup/hair craziness and then I was off to a bachlorett party.
Sept 24th-I love it when Mac helps around the house, that is better than flower any day. (But Mac if your reading this I’ll still take some flowers time to time, just not any ware near Feb 14th)
Sept 25th-oops
Sept 26th- Twins game with mist off and on and a sucky team, we still managed to have a great time. Honestly anything is fun with this guy.
Sept 27th- Didn’t see him at all he was out fishing with his Dad.
Sept 28th- I had a stressful day, I canceled all of my nights plans just to go home and be with Mac, just his presence calms me down. Seriously after a 45 second phone call today on a break at work I was already feeling so much better.
Sept 29th-I love that he encourages me to take care of myself. To cancel things when they get over whelming and to take a break from cleaning even when the house really could use it.

In Green
Ok not going to lie I was pretty impressed with the new Twins Stadium. Not only with how nice it was (even when it was misting out.) But also with how much they encourage green polices. It was honestly easier to recycle than throw away your wast I think the green recycle bins out numbered the garbage 2 to 1. All ‘normal’ condiments we distributed via pumps instead of individual packets and check out what they had in the bathroom:

I’m sure it saves them quite a bit of money but I’m choosing to believe they did it so be green
I really like the trend I’m seeing of large companies going green, I don’t know if its from peer pressure or trying to cut costs but either way I like it. I think as bigger companies become green things like recycling and such will become mainstream instead of the exception. This is the second time I’ve seen this at a major event this year remember my Cirque du Soleil post from earlier this year?
What made this even better is that my friend pointed it out to me. Why am I so excited about that? Well I don’t preach being green, I don’t talk about it all the time I just do it. She noticed that and knew that I would be interested. That is fun for me!
Oh yeah the game was fun too, lol they lost but it was a lot of fun to go with friends. Thanks to the Chevy Girls for the tickets!

In Friends
You know whats funny? When I write about my friends and family I just use their first initial for privacy reasons. Well for those of you who know me well this doesn’t help today, because I really call my friend “B.” I was trying to remember how it started but I honestly can’t remember. But I’m sure it was back in the day when I lived in a town that I didn’t even call by its whole name and people started using LOL and BRB. Yep we have been friends for that long.
Anyway B has never lived any closer than 1 hour away. But that has never stopped us. These days we only see each other for any quality time maybe 2-4 times a year. Talk on the phone only a handful of times as well. But he is still one of my best friends. He is one of those guys I can call about almost anything, from a fix it problem to an emotional moment.
He was also one of Mark’s very best friends, he stood up in our wedding. Was by our side during the cancer fight and supported me greatly after he died. We (Mark and I) watched as this man searched for his godsend. He found 1 or 2 candidates along the way but just never found the right girl. The one that God had created for him. As Mark got sicker it was one of those things we talked about that he would miss out on, our list was small honestly, kids, nieces and nephews and seeing B get married.
This morning I found out the B is engaged, I’m elated. I knew when he first introduced us to A that there was something different about this one. I knew that she was probably ‘the one.’ I can’t tell you why but there was just something between them, something in the way they interacted. It was different and it was good.
I’m also very sad, this is one of the very few things I wish Mark was around to see. I know that sounds harsh but what I mean is, he was so sick and in so much pain in the end that I’m glad he was taken up to heaven. But this is one of those things I think he would have stuck around for, ya know. The birth of his nephew and niece and the wedding of his best friend.
So today, I’m incredibly happy for you B and if Mark wasn’t so in aww standing before God right now he would be too.
Friends, Mark

In Food, Report Card
Well technically I made my monthly weight goal! Sunday when I weighed in it was 150.3!!! So that makes me 150 in my book.
I’m failing miserably at tracking my exercise, but I’m going to do better at that this week.
So I’m going to set 2 extra goals for this week.
1. Drink 1/2 my weight in water daily. I weigh 150 so that equals 75 oz daily.
2. To track my exercise accurately.
So there will be no official report card today. But I will tell you a little about my week. My exercise was sporadic since I’m working on editing over 4,000 pictures from paintball last weekend. but I still got some in. I did a Jillian Michales work out I like them because they are quick (20 min) and they work multiple muscles at once but this particular one was hard because it had so much wrist involvement. I also did the insanity workouts ab routine and some swimming. Man swimmers are in so much better shape then me 11 laps with breaks in between and I was done. Yeesh
But we have a successful new recipe I thought I would share. Its from one of my favorite websites to fine healthy versions of classics. Eat Better America , White chicken chili.

Photo From the website.
It was delish, so simple and will be made again for sure. I didn’t include the zucchini, Mac wouldn’t have touched it if I did. But I read reviews that said, other people ‘got away with it’ and the kids or hubby didn’t notice. I would highly suggest this one.

In Challenge, MAC, Thoughts on Thursdays
Only a week and a day late …..
This months Thoughts on Thursdays are going to be a little different I started a 30-Day Husband challenge a few weeks ago and for the next few Thursdays I’m going to be doing updates on that project. So click here to read more about the challenge and here for my 1st weeks post.
Sept 9th- Friends sometimes have ‘issues’ that take up your time. Mac is very understanding when this happens and will help out “my friends’ any way he can.
Sept 10th- When Mac knows I”m stressed out to tht breaking point he always looks for away to relieve it. Weather that means doing laundry, helping with some cleaning or another project or taking me out to dinner.
Sept 11th- I love the reandom pictures he sends me of him, him and the dog or anything they always make me smile. Here is todays random picture:

Sept 12th- Forgot to note
Sept 13th-Forgot to note
Sept 14th-Forgot to note
Spet 15th-19th We were out of town on a paintball trip. Even though we had communications problems this weekend, we both realized it and it even became a running joke with us. In the past this would have caused multipul fights but this weekend we recongnized it for what it was, communication errors.
Sept 20th- Lol I really didn’t see MAC today I worked 6:30-3 then a training from 4-7 when I got home he had dinner figured out, so that was great.
Sept 21st- Another ‘extra points’ day for MAC, after I got home tonight I had a girlfriend come over and we worked out, then we did trial makeup and hair for her wedding! Not only was he great about all that but he again made dinner!
Sept 22nd- Dinner with friends, seeing this boy laugh is one of my favorite things ever!
