In Blogger Bible Study, insperation, When I Lay my Isaac Down
My mom over at Treasure to Treasure is doing and online version of her Woman’s Bible study. I decided to join in too. We are reading “When I Lay my Isaac Down: Unshakable Faith in Unthinkable Circumstances.” this week completing chapter 5. Here are the links for Chapters 1 & 2, Chapter 3, and Chapter 4.
I’m not late in posting this because I wasn’t finished I was late because I don’t know what to say. On one hand this could be a very long post on the other it could be very short. Chapter 5 is titled “Even in this, the Power of Hope.) I’ve always had hope in God, even when I was quite young. For example, in 7th grade I was picked on so harshly my parents home schooled me the next year. One of the culprates of that teasing was a kid named Travis. At one point I told him that if he let me give him something and promised not to through it away, I wouldn’t tell in him anymore. He agreed and I gave him my Bible. I had faith that if he just had a Bible, if he just looked at it a few times… I don’t know what came of that, he was kicked out of school my freshman or sophmore year but I knew he still had it at that time because his girlfriend asked me about it.
This hope continued on and was never lost, when Mark got sick he had a quote that made the rounds in the local (and not so local Churches)
Amber and I will keep living one day at a time and trusting in God to guide us through this trial, all the way to the end. I will be cured, if it will be with earthly life or with a new body in heaven, that is up to God.My Hope is in the Lord.
He said this early on in the fight I dont know if we relized the profoundness of this statment but to this day I live by the first part there, Trusting in God to guide us . These days it seems easy to forget about Him tough. Life is good, there arn’t many struggles and what there are seem small by comparison, and to be honest I like it that way. But it is easy to forget about God in the good times and I’m actively working on that.
My current hope insperation is this little man.

See him with his cute little backpack on? He wasn’t supposed to be able to do this. Some doctors thought he would be severely challenged, and unable to function in the ‘normal’ world. He doses have his challenges don’t get me wrong, but he has fought and won most of them so far and will continue to do so. This is my godson and my little miracle boy and I can’t wait to see what God has in store for him.

In Challenge, Husband Challenge, Linky Party, MAC, Thoughts on Thursdays
Remember last months Husband Challenge? I’ve decided that at least for a while I’m going to keep it going on the last Thursday of the month. In fact I’m going to try and start a Linky party to encourage you all to do it with me (see the end of the post.)
This month had been pretty busy for us we have done photography for our first wedding, roofed the house, I’ve gone on a paintball trip without him and ripped the carpet out of our living/dinning/hall. Phew. Through it all Mac has been great. House projects arn’t his favorite things. He likes how they turn out and make the house ares but the process is well you know. However this months we completed two big projects in two weeks and it was great!
Macs ability to pick up things is great, he has never owned a house before but he has no problem jumping in and trying things with a little instruction. Then away he goes. He became our “Master carpenter” on the roofing project filling in all the old vent holes and that allowed our friend the roofer to keep roofing! It was a great help.
As for the ripping out of carpet, Mac was sick so the first day I worked on my own and got about 2/3rds done, not bad. But when I needed help at the end to get a big piece out of the house, he came right up and helped with that. Then with a burst of energy the next day he got the rest of it out before I got home!! That was great. We worked together to rearrange the furniture and remove the last of the tack board.
I really appreciate how much he has been doing around the house. With the last few photo-shoots (paintball, wedding, paintball and another paintball trip in 2 weeks) I’ve been overwhelmed with editing. He has been great at keeping the house running and especially great at laundry (one of my least favorite things.)
So in summery this month I really appreciate my husbands willingness to help and learn about being a home owner. Its already been an adventure the last 2 years but its been great!
Now what have you appreciated about your hubby this month? Write it down and link it up!

In Giveaways, Green
Hey Guys don’t forget the water bottle giveaway ends today at 2:00 CST!! Their are only 22 entries so you have great odds if you enter!
Have you guys noticed that being green isn’t ‘weird’ anymore. When I pull out my bamboo silverware travel set people don’t blink and eye and most think its cool and want to know where I got them. Using cloth grocerie bags is common place and bringing your own coffee mug to the barista saves you 25 cents. Heck even one of my advertisers recently sent me a package and what was inside?
Ok so its a pretty bad pic that I tried to make better with fancy editing but if you can’t tell its a reuseable hot cup, cold cup with straw and shopping bag!!
Whats the point of all this? Don’t be ashamed to be green. Right now its a fad, it might not always be but for the moment go with the flow.

In iPhone Review, Paintball, Vacation
So I’ve been gone for a few days (not that you guys noticed but my hubby did,) and I thought I would come back and share the weekend with you via my iPhone pics I took.
First of all I flew down to the Orlando area in Florida for a paintball tournament, it was far hotter than I expected and I had to buy some of the ugly sunglasses they had for sale there.

Then I started to take pictures of my team Tampa Bay Damage. They did great. During the lulls between matches I helped out my friends at Ninja Air and Guru Gun Stands. Ninja had a great limited run of Pink Breast Cancer tanks and they sold out!!

I like these guys so much I put their name on my lens.

I met up with some crazy characters

Then after Damage won the WORLD CUP!!! We went out and celebrated with Steak and Seafood.
So what have we learned from this? I had a lot of fun and the things I choose to post on facebook (ie take pictures of with my phone) are WEIRD.
