In Thoughts on Thursdays

I have a wonderful, amazing, loving hubby who looks out for me and protects me the best he can or sometimes the best I’ll allow (I’m a wee bit stubborn.) But He also understands that sometimes we have to do things that will be hard, or maybe unpleasant, but ultimately for good.
Case and point, December is already a tough month for me Dec 10th marked the 4th year since Mark passed away. That plus all the emotion of family and the stress that can come from the season if you allow (I did this year) makes me on edge all month and the silliest of things push me over. So when one of my best friends called and asked me to stand in for Mark and
be a groomsmen on Dec 30th, Mac was wary.
Rightfully so, you never know how I’m going to react to a ‘Mark thing’ sometimes its fine sometimes I have a melt down. He just wanted to protect me. BUT he also understood the importance of this and the significance of it to both B and I. So he supported me, still does. The rehearsal is tonight and I’m a little nervous to be honest, I don’t know many of the people there and the ones I do know are because of Mark. I’m not sure how it will go. But I do know that no matter what Mac will be there to support me, and that means the world to me!

Merry Christmas all, Yeah I know I’m a few days late…whatever
I hinted on Friday about my Christmas letters in my giveaway post (its still open check it out!) This year I took it a step farther than last year and removed the envalope, and the seperate picture.
Last year I had a simple card with the letter printed on the back and a seperate photo. This year I combined everything into one post card. This way I saved:
- Paper in the evelope (green)
- Paper and ink on the picture (green)
- Money on the postage (cheap, lol)
I’m not sure about the printing and shipping of the postcards but I figure it can’t be any worse than that printing and the shipping of the pictures and this way there is less printing over all. So here it is. I used My Memories Software for the front design and just Photoshop Elements for the back.

In 2012, Aspirations, Exercise
Well, we have made it, the last week before the run. I have no idea how much or how little I should train this week so I’m just going to run outside a little today (Tuesday) and then on the elliptical a little on Wednesday.
I hit 3.1 miles last week with no problem so as long as I don’t over eat this week at the wedding on Friday I should be fine. I’m honestly wondering how I will do w/o Cooper with me. He has been my running partner all month and I wonder how it will go with out his encouragement…
Goals from Last Week:
Monday- I ran 3.15 miles outside in 31:02!!!! 6.1 MPH
Tuesday- Was 2 miles on the treadmill in 19:34. 6.15 MPH
Thursday- Another outdoor run 1.1 miles in 9:31. 6.31MPH
Saturday- Was .86 miles in 20 min on the elliptical with resistance. I wasn’t feeling well so I decided to take it easy.
This week I”m going to take it easy so hopefully next weeks post is me at he finish line!
